Genomic Prediction of Common Disease: Making Its Way to the Clinic

Genetic prediction of susceptibility to common disease is not possible through large sample sizes which enable reasonably accurate prediction of heritable disease risk. In this talk, I will show findings demonstrating a correlation between measured and genomically-predicted bone density measures of ~0.5. I will discuss how these findings could potentially be used to improve clinical care.
