null Dr. Kaberi Dasgupta appointed as Director of the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE)

Dear colleagues,

After many distinguished years of leadership, Dr. Michael Kramer has stepped down as Director of the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE). He has been a tremendous asset to the RI-MUHC as a leader, planner, mentor and keen evaluator. Michael was involved in all facets of the planning of CORE from its inception, and the fact that this group is thriving is a great testament to his leadership and remarkable approach to problem-solving.

It is with great pleasure that I would like to announce that Dr. Kaberi Dasgupta has taken over the leadership of the CORE as of July 1, 2018. Previously the Associate Director of the CORE, Kaberi is an active member of the Department of Medicine and the Metabolic Disorders and Complications (MeDiC) Program. She is an associate professor of medicine and associate member of the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health at McGill University. Kaberi runs a highly successful program in the area of diabetes research, covering multiple facets of patient care, particularly in the area of prevention of complications. She has played a very active role in the move to the 5252 facility and has proven to be a superb mentor to junior members of the CORE and advisor to her colleagues. We look forward to Kaberi’s enthusiasm and leadership as part of the RI Management Committee!

Sincerely,

Bruce Mazer, MD
