Sasha Bernatsky, MD, PhD, was interviewed by Gerald Major, President of the Canadian Spondylitis Association, at the Annual Canadian Rheumatology Association Meeting that took place in Montreal from February 27 to March 2, 2019. She discussed comorbidities, which are other chronic diseases or conditions co-occurring with a primary one, as well as mental health and making informed choices for patients with a rheumatic disease. Dr. Bernatsky is a rheumatologist at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and scientist in the Infectious Diseases and Immunity in Global Health Program at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre. She is also an associate professor in the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.
