Symposium 2019 - Unraveling Complexity of the Exosomal Proteome (January 22, 2019)

Where: At the Centre for Translational Biology (CTB) – Glen Site, Drs Sylvia & Richard Cruess Amphitheatre, E.S1.1129, 1001 Decarie Boulevard, Montreal, Quebec H4A 3J1

When: Tuesday, January 22, 2019, 9:00 a.m.

Exosomes - cell and tissue derived vesicles - are an excellent source of biological material for proteomic studies especially when combined with flow based small particle analysis and sorting.

Analysis of the proteins in exosomes provides new insight into understanding biological processes, disease progression and may provide improved biomarkers for clinicians.

This one day symposium features talks from RIMUHC students, post-docs, technologists and clinicians who utilize proteomics and flow cytometry to try and unraveling the complex nature of exosomes derived from many types of biological material including cells, tissue and plasma.

We are also proud to present keynote talks from Janusz Rak, MD, PhD, Child Health and Human Development Program, RIMUHC, Vera Tang (Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology (BMI), University of Ottawa) and Jeff Wrana PhD, Senior Scientist at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Institute at Mt Sinai in Toronto.
