null Dr. Stefanie Blain-Moraes named among the world’s top young scientists by WEF

Dr. Stefanie Blain-Moraes is one of three McGill academics recently named among the planet’s top scientists under the age of 40 by the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF). A new member of the Brain Repair and Integrative Neuroscience (BRaIN) Program at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC), Dr. Blain-Moraes welcomed the chance to participate.

“Being part of the World Economic Forum gave me the incredible opportunity to interface with policy makers, business leaders and other scientists who are shaping the fourth industrial revolution,” she said. “As a young scientist, this allowed me to network with people I otherwise would never have the opportunity to meet, and to situate my research within the broader contexts of global, regional and industry agendas.”

The 2017 cohort of Young Scientists assemble a distinguished cohort of top talent making an impact on research as diverse as quantum and computer science, physics and materials science, biology and bio-engineering, medical and neuroscience, and energy and environment.
