The IBTN is a forum for behavioural researchers and professionals interested in sharing leading behavioural trial research, practices and innovations. This 2 ½ day conference will include plenary sessions, workshops, and posters sessions.

Invited Speakers Include: 

*Dr. Susan Michie, Director of the Centre for Behaviour Change at University College London, UK and author of the Behaviour Change Wheel and the Behaviour Change Technique Taxonomy.

*Dr. Linda Collins, Director of the Methodology Center at Penn State University, US and lead on the Multiphase Optimization Strategy (MOST) to build and optimise behavioural interventions.

*Dr. Timothy Caulfield, Canada Research Chair in Health Law and Policy at the University of Alberta, Canada and author of The Cure for Everything and Is Gwyneth Paltrow Wrong About Everything?

*Dr. Susan Czajkowski, Program Director at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, US and co-lead for the NIH's Obesity-Related Behavioral Intervention Trials (ORBIT) model for developing and testing behavioural interventions.

*Dr. Jean Bourbeau, Director of the McConnell Centre for Innovative Medicine at McGill University, Canada and lead on the Living Well with COPD intervention.

*Dr. Paul Montgomery, Professor of Psycho-Social Intervention at Oxford University, UK and author of the CONSORT Extension for Social and Psychological Interventions.

*Dr. Gregory Ninot, Executive Director of the CEPS Methodology Platform for Non Pharmacological Interventions at the University of Montpellier, France.

*Dr. Kenneth Freedland, Professor of Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine in Saint Louis, US and PI and Co-I on multiple behavioural trials including ENRICHED and INSPIRE.

Topics of practical workshops include:

*Evidence-based smoking cessation interventions
*Evidence-based adherence interventions
*Motivational communication
*Career development for trainees
*And many more!

**Plenaries will be presented in English, but many workshops will be offered in French**
