Nancy Wu, a graduate student at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC), won first prize for an oral presentation on diabetes and pregnancy at the 2019 Diabetes Canada Professional Conference. The prize for her abstract titled “Core outcome set for diabetes after pregnancy prevention studies” was awarded by the Canadian Diabetes in Pregnancy Interest Group at the meeting held in Winnipeg this October. As part of her work for an M.Sc. in epidemiology at McGill University, the study proposes to identify the most important outcomes to measure in a program aiming to prevent diabetes development in women who have glucose intolerance during their pregnancy.

Nancy Wu’s project is supervised by Dr. Kaberi Dasgupta, a member of the Metabolic Disorders and Complications Program who conducts research at the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation at the RI-MUHC.
