Source: RI-MUHC. On April 19 the Infectious Diseases and Immunity in Global Health Program (IDIGH) welcomed its members to their Fourth Annual Research Day, entirely organized by its very active multidisciplinary trainee committee, Research in Infection, Immunity & Global Health Trainees (RI2GHT), led by Hanna Ostapska and Sanket Kant. The research day aims to provide an opportunity for trainees from the IDIGH Program to share their work and discoveries in the fields of infection and immunity, epidemiology, translational research and global health. Again this year, many synergies were created among the 180 attendees, including trainees, principal investigators and vendors who generously sponsored the event.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Ross Kedl, a renowned expert on cytotoxic T-cells and professor at the University of Colorado. Completing the program of the day, nine awards were given across three presentation categories: eight oral, three 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) and over 30 poster presentations. Congratulations to the awardees!
