(Source: Royal Society of Canada and RI-MUHC.) The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) and its Members have elected this year’s new Fellows, and named the incoming class of The College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists.

“The Royal Society of Canada is extremely fortunate to welcome these exceptionally talented scholars, artists and scientists as new Members of the Society. They have made outstanding contributions to their fields and to Canada’s intellectual and artistic breadth, and are making a tremendously positive impact on the world. We recognize them for all that they have done, and indeed will continue to do, to advance scholarly and public life in Canada and around the world,” says RSC President Chad Gaffield.

Robyn Tamblyn, MScN, M.Sc., PhD, CM is internationally recognized for her sentinel contributions to the establishment and validation of new methods of assessing clinical competence using standardized patients, and award-winning interventions to improve the safety and effectiveness of prescription drug management. Her research was the foundation for the world’s first national physician qualifying examination that tested clinical and communication skills, led to changes in medication policy, the Order of Canada and leadership at CIHR.

Robyn Tamblyn is a senior scientist at the RI-MUHC, where she is a member of the Cardiovascular Health Across the Lifespan Program and conducts research at the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation.

Congratulations, Dr. Tamblyn!
