Extended health care
Extended Health Care is designed to help members pay for specified services and supplies not provided under the provincial government health plan such as prescription drugs, hospital accommodation differential costs, and vision care, to name a few.
Dental coverage provides for reimbursement of basic and restorative services, subject to some maximums.
Employees are entitled to twelve days of paid sick leave per year, including 3 personal days.The reference period for sick leave runs from December 1st to November 30th each year.
Short and long-term disability
Short and long-term disability provides continued income in the event of disability. Upon completion of the qualifying period, the benefit replaces a percentage of your pre-disability income.
Group life insurance
This insurance provides financial protection for your beneficiary in the event of death.
Accidental death and dismemberment insurance
This insurance provides additional financial protection over and above the group life insurance for your beneficiary in the event of accidental death. A sum of financial protection is offered in the event of dismemberment.
|Vacation, holidays and leave|
Vacation entitlement starts at four weeks for full-time staff with additional time accrued based on years of service.
Thirteen statutory holidays per year are observed.
Maternity, paternity, parental and adoption leaves
Maternity, paternity, parental and adoption leaves are granted based on the provisions of the Québec Parental Insurance Plan.
Compassionate care leave
Compassionate Care Leave provides an employee with up to eight weeks of compassionate care leave to provide care or support to a family member if a qualified medical practitioner issues a certificate stating that the family member has a serious medical condition with a significant risk of death within twenty-six weeks.
The Government and Public Employees Retirement Plan (RREGOP) covers all employees except for management who benefit from the "Régime de retraite du personnel d'encadrement" (RRPE). This Defined Benefit Pension Program is designed to make your retirement years as affordable as possible.
