Interim Platform Director: Dr. Peter McPherson
Founded in 2011, Clinical Proteomics is a joint venture between McGill University and the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC), offering mass spectrometry support to all investigators, including affiliated hospitals, institutes and beyond.
The Clinical Proteomics Core specializes in discovery-based proteomics using state-of-the art instrumentation and streamlined bioinformatics coupled with extensive expertise.
Services offered:
- advanced mass spectrometry and proteomics technologies for protein and lipid identification and quantitation, as well as affinity enrichment and MS identification of phosphopeptides
- peptide synthesis to be used for absolute quantification through single reaction monitoring (SRM) as well as for peptide antibody generation and purification
- advice and strategy for proteomics research
- experimental design and troubleshooting
- support for grant applications
- analysis, data interpretation, and training
