A Child health- Adult health research collaboration in diabetes epidemiology and management

Dr. Meranda Nakhla (Assistant Professor of Pediatrics) and Dr. Kaberi Dasgupta (Associate Professor of Medicine) discuss intersecting and complementary avenues of research that have led to a CIHR-funded trial evaluating a transition to adult care preparation intervention, a CIHR/Diabetes Canada funded peer support network for youth and young adults with type 1 diabetes, and Diabetes Canada-funded studies demonstrating links of gestational diabetes in mothers with diabetes in fathers and offspring.
