Research Focus

My research focuses on drug allergy−related pathologies, including their clinical identification, diagnostic methods and management. The ongoing clinical and translational research projects aim to improve precision diagnosis, including mechanisms to remove drug allergy labels and develop diagnostic tools. Additionally, I aim to advance our understanding of the complex, severe, delayed drug reactions associated with significant acute and long-term morbidity and mortality. These developments allow me to be part of a network of international collaborators, an excellent platform for exchanging and developing new projects. Addressing the significant health issue of immune-mediated drug allergy will lead to high-level research output that will translate into improvement in healthcare, locally and internationally.

I maintain strong collaborations as an honorary fellow in the Department of Infectious Diseases, University of Melbourne, and doctoral candidate in the Centre for Antibiotic Allergy and Research, Austin Health, also in Melbourne, Australia.
