Research Focus

Research in my laboratory focuses on the role of protein foods in human nutrition, cardiometabolic health, and the environment. Using dietary analyses and clinical studies, we investigate the contribution of animal- and plant-based foods to nutrient intakes, assess their effect on type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease endpoints, and quantify their impact on environmental outcomes. Our goal is to develop dietary approaches to improve human and planetary health.
