Researchers at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) will be conducting 15 new projects designed to accelerate discoveries of benefit to human health, thanks to the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Spring 2019 Project Grant competition. The RI-MUHC teams received over $7.5 million in project funding.

Across Canada, the competition has approved 382 research grants and 21 bridge grants for a total investment of approximately $275 million. In addition, almost $1.5 million was awarded for 15 priority announcement bridge grants.

The CIHR Project Grant program is designed to capture ideas with the greatest potential to advance health-related fundamental or applied knowledge, health research, health care, health systems, and/or health outcomes.

Congratulations to RI-MUHC grant recipients and their teams!
