RÉSULTATS DU CONCOURS DES IRSC DE L'AUTOMNE 2020

Des équipes de l’IR-CUSM reçoivent 6,9 millions de dollars pour des projets de recherche et 2 millions de dollars de plus pour la recherche sur la COVID-19

Des chercheurs de l’Institut de recherche du Centre universitaire de santé McGill (IR-CUSM) entameront 11 nouveaux projets dans le but d’accélérer les découvertes au service de la santé humaine, grâce au soutien des Instituts de recherche en santé du Canada (IRSC) dans le cadre du concours de subventions Projet de l’automne 2020. Les équipes de l’IR-CUSM ont reçu un financement total de plus de 6.9 millions de dollars.

Pour le concours de cette année, 354 subventions de recherche ont été approuvées à travers le Canada, ce qui représente un investissement total d’environ 274 millions de dollars. De plus, 97 subventions transitoires s’inscrivant dans une annonce de priorités ont été accordées, pour un total de plus de 9.5 millions de dollars, et 11 prix supplémentaires pour un montant total de 296 k$.

Cette année, exceptionnellement, quatre chercheurs de l’IR-CUSM ont également obtenu des subventions de fonctionnement visant à combler les besoins en données probantes qui persistent dans la recherche sur la COVID-19, pour un total de près de 2 millions de dollars de plus en financement de projets. À l’échelle du Canada, les IRSC ont investi 25,2 millions de dollars dans 52 projets dans le cadre de ce volet.

Le programme de subventions Projet des IRSC a pour but de faire valoir les idées les plus susceptibles de faire progresser les connaissances fondamentales ou appliquées en santé, la recherche en santé, les soins de santé, les systèmes de santé ou les résultats sur la santé.
