Research Focus

My research focuses on gastroenterology diseases using clinical and population-based studies in Québec and Canada. My work has focused on adherence to guidelines in patient and physician populations and on the quality of colonoscopy services. My research activities address the utilization of preventive health services for colorectal cancer, the enhancement of methods in colorectal cancer screening research, the evaluation of the safety and quality of screening colonoscopy, the development of a national strategy for colorectal cancer screening and the development of an app to help patients prepare for colonoscopy. Ongoing funded projects include eliciting patient preferences for health care in inflammatory bowel disease and the development and validation of triage tools for gastroscopy and colonoscopy referrals.
