Research Focus

Major surgery puts patients under substantial physiological stress. Yet, standard care does not include preoperative preparation to combat the stresses of surgery. My research program aims to use multimodal personalized strategies (prehabilitation) to modify surgical risk factors and build resilience in anticipation of surgical stress, so that patients can recover well.
