Leadership and Management

The Child Health and Human Development Program has a management committee composed of the program leadership, representatives from the Centre for Translational Biology (CTB) and Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE), external members and trainees. This committee meets four times a year to discuss program-related concerns, problems, and strategy. Committee members include:

Program Leaders

Isabelle Gagnon, pht, PhD, is a physiotherapist and professor in the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy as well as Associate Director of Research in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at McGill University. She is a senior scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre. She also practices as a physiotherapist at the Montreal Children’s Hospital of the McGill University Health Centre. She leads a research program focused on determining the consequences of, and developing innovative interventions for, mild traumatic brain injuries or concussions in the pediatric population. More specifically, she has investigated sensorimotor outcomes in children and adolescents and how these can affect their return to physical activities and self-confidence after traumatic injuries. Her work has also examined intervention programs and service organizations for children and adolescents after a traumatic injury. Her research is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Fonds de recherche du Québec-santé and other local funding agencies and foundations.
