Specimen Collection and Human Specimen Processing Laboratory

The Specimen Collection and Processing Laboratory offers specialized services and equipment dedicated solely to clinical research. Fully qualified medical technologists provide services including specimen procurement, processing, storage and shipping. The laboratory is centrally located at the Glen site of the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre and complies with the requirement for Containment Level 2.

The Specimen Processing Laboratory at CIM was also the first laboratory to be certified Platinum under McGill’s new Sustainable Lab Certification program.

The laboratory is equipped with all necessary safety equipment and lab attire. All equipment is certified and routinely maintained.
