Research Focus

My research focuses on healthcare delivery for children with diabetes and endocrine diseases, with an emphasis on resource-limited settings and underserved populations. My interests include clinical phenotypes and social determinants of diabetes care in Haitian youth and youth of non-European origin; point-of-care delivery approaches, such as for newborn screening for congenital hypothyroidism and for diabetic ketoacidosis; and back-translation of local innovation to create successful reverse innovation in Canada and globally. As a member of the McGill Artificial Pancreas lab, I aim for technological innovation in type 1 diabetes that reaches youth equitably. I strive to incorporate research and clinical capacity-building into each project.
