Research Focus

My research focuses on mycobacteria, which are the cause of tuberculosis (TB) and TB-like diseases. Our lab uses genomic methods to study the epidemiology of TB (its spread between people) and the pathogenesis of TB (how it causes infection, and how infection progresses to disease).
