Tania Janaudis-Ferreira receives the Assembly on Pulmonary Rehabilitation Mid-Career Research Achievement Award

Tania Janaudis-Ferreira, PhD, is the recipient of the Assembly on Pulmonary Rehabilitation Mid-Career Research Achievement Award from the American Thoracic Society. A Scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) and Associate Professor in the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy, McGill University, Prof. Janaudis-Ferreira was selected for this honour by the Assembly on Pulmonary Rehabilitation Award Selection Committee.

The award recognizes her scientific contributions to the principles and practice of pulmonary rehabilitation and demonstrated meaningful contributions to the activities of the assembly. It was presented at the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Assembly Membership Meeting on May 19 in San Diego, CA (USA).

“I'm truly honoured to receive this international recognition,” says Prof. Janaudis-Ferreira. “It means the world to me, as it validates the passion and dedication I've poured into advancing this field. I am immensely grateful to the committee for acknowledging my contributions, and I extend my sincere appreciation to my colleagues and mentors whose support and guidance have been invaluable throughout my journey.”

Prof. Janaudis-Ferreira, who is also a physiotherapist, conducts research in the Translational Research in Respiratory Diseases Program and Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation at the RI-MUHC. Her research focuses on improving care and rehabilitation outcomes of individuals with chronic lung disease and solid organ transplant candidates and recipients.
