Simulation Services for Clinical Research

Dedicated to clinical research, the Simulation Laboratory is located in the McConnell Centre for Innovative Medicine and is a part of both the hospital and Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) at the Glen site. The Simulation Laboratory offers researchers access to state-of-the-art simulation equipment as well as expert services in simulation design and execution.     Expertise in coordinating equipment, space, staffing and resources, and set-up of the simulation environment

    Provision of a simulation case study database for health professionals
  • Audio-visual
    Provision of high-quality video recording and editing capabilities with our first-in-Canada, integrated Stryker-CAE audiovisual recording system, as well as Studio3 video- and photo-editing software. The simulation laboratory is equipped with three (3) wall-mounted cameras and two (2) portable cameras for in-situ simulations
  • Mannequin simulation
    Support for simulation mannequin scenario programming and technical operation, using our advanced capacity Adult Patient Simulator
  • Virtual Reality Profiles
    Provision of virtual reality simulator customer user profiles
  • 3D Printing Lab
    Expertise in 3D printing, providing intricate and accurate models for your simulation. To create models with the precision, look and feel of reality, we use Stratasys Objet 500 Connex3 Colour and multi-material 3D print equipment with a PolyJet technology system that simultaneously 3D-prints multiple colours and materials
  • Medical moulage
    Expert medical moulage (mock injuries) prepared by our nurse coordinator, bringing another dimension of reality to your simulation
