Research Focus

My research focuses on advancing the understanding and treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other rare neurodegenerative diseases. As Director of the ALS Clinic and Executive Director of the ALS Center of Excellence at The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital), and as Director of Clinical Research and the Centre for Innovative Medicine (CIM) at The Institute, I am dedicated to providing equitable access to innovative clinical trials, particularly early-phase and first-in-human studies. Through the CIM, I lead efforts to bridge the gap between laboratory discoveries and clinical applications, ensuring that patients have the opportunity to participate in groundbreaking therapies.
