null Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE) - GUEST Speaker Seminar (December 4, 2018)
Genomic Prediction of Common Disease: Making Its Way to the Clinic Genetic prediction of susceptibility to common disease is not possible through large sample sizes which enable reasonably accurate prediction of heritable disease risk. In this talk, I will show findings demonstrating a correlation between measured and genomically-predicted bone density measures of ~0.5. I will discuss how these findings could potentially be used to improve clinical care. Speaker: Brent Richards, MD, MSc When: Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at noon Where: 5252 boul de Maisonneuve West, 3rd Floor (3B kitchen) Information: CORE 514-934-1934 ext. 48292 or Core.mailer@rimuhc.ca The presentation will be delivered in English. |
