null Driving Personalized Medicine: The 2020 RI-MUHC Annual Report is online!
An invitation from Dr. Miguel Burnier Jr.
It is my pleasure to present the 2020 Annual Report of the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI‑MUHC) with the theme “Driving Personalized Medicine.”
Members of our research community proved more than equal to the challenges of this extraordinary year, achieving much more than could be outlined in our 2019-2020 reporting period. In this report I am sure you will enjoy discovering the progress that some of our very own drivers of personalized medicine have made in areas of rehabilitation, liquid biopsy, genetic profiling for cancer patients, and understanding the microbiome.
You will also discover the work of RI-MUHC researchers who were among the first to answer the call to combat a public health crisis unlike any we had yet experienced, when the COVID-19 pandemic broke on the world and into our lives. I invite you to sample the “Year in Review” highlights for each of our eight research programs and to admire the unstinting efforts of the foundations that, with your support, make so much of our work possible.
Read, enjoy, and be inspired!
