A student-run non-profit that works to foster the student voice in science policy and evidence-informed policy-making in Canada, last year the “Science & Policy Exchange” proposed to include a panel at the 2017 Canadian Science Policy Conference on how to improve science communication. Now, a group of McGill Faculty of Medicine students from the group – Tina Gruosso, Vanessa Sung, Shawn McGuirk, Marie Franquin and Mary-Rose Bradley-Gill – has published a report on Medium, highlighting 10 key recommendations to take away from the panel.
Kudos to Marie Franquin and Tina Gruosso, trainees at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre, for their role in this initiative! Marie Franquin is a doctoral student supervised by David Stellwagen, PhD, in the Brain Repair and Integrative Neuroscience (BRaIN) Program, and Tina Gruosso is a postdoctoral fellow supervised by Morag Park, PhD, in the Cancer Research Program.
