Congratulations to each of the following RI-MUHC investigators:
Dr. John Bergeron, recipient of the Research Canada Leadership Award for his lead role in growing community, provincial and national awareness related to health research
Dr. Samuel David, who received the 2015 Barbara Turnbull Award from the Barbara Turnbull Foundation, Brain Canada, and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) for his outstanding contribution to the advancement of world-leading spinal cord research conducted in Canada
Dr. Jean-Pierre Farmer, named Personality of the Week in the October 4 issue of the newspaper, La Presse
Dr. William Foulkes, recipient of the 2015 Award of Excellence for Basic Research from the Jewish General Hospital
Dr. Gabriella Gobbi, recipient of the Venezia Prize from the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada for the best collaborative scientific project between Canada and Italy
Dr. Phil Gold, honoured with Dr. Samuel Freedman by an event celebrating the 50th anniversary of their discovery of Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and supporting the first Gold Fellowship Award in Cancer Research. Dr. Gold was also honoured at the 25th Annual International CEA Symposium held in Washington and will be likewise at the International Society for Oncology and Biomarkers in Poland
Dr. Nada Jabado, inducted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada
Dr. Celeste Johnston, who received the 2015 Jeffrey Lawson Award for Advocacy for Pain Relief in Children from the American Pain Society and the 2015 Canadian Pain Society Mentoring Award
Dr. Laurence Kirmayer, inducted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada
Dr. Bartha Knoppers, inducted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada
Dr. David Mulder, honoured at the October unveiling of the Dr. David S. Mulder Trauma Centre at the Montreal General Hospital of the McGill University Health Centre.
Dr. Morag Park, recipient of the Exceptional Leadership in Cancer Research Award from The Canadian Cancer Research Alliance
