Research Focus

My clinical interests are in cardiometabolic and vascular prevention, inherited lipid disorders, and sex-based disparities in atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). My research examines cardiovascular risk factors that contribute to premature ASCVD, with a focus on genetic dyslipidemias such as familial hypercholesterolemia and elevated lipoprotein(a). The goal of my work is to improve risk stratification, early detection, and management of individuals at high cardiovascular risk to enable more personalized prevention strategies. Using genetic, clinical, and population-based data from large registries and cohorts, I study treatment patterns, sex differences, and access to therapies to inform evidence-based approaches that reduce disease burden and improve cardiovascular outcomes.
