Research Focus
My research improves disease prevention and control strategies for a broad range of diseases, including influenza, COVID-19, meningococcal and pneumococcal disease, RSV, shingles, HPV and measles. Drawing on infectious disease epidemiology, clinical epidemiology, vaccinology and public health, I design and analyze rigorous research to understand how long and how broadly vaccines protect, quantify their impact on population and patient health, and elucidate patterns of vaccine awareness, uptake and access, so that everyone can benefit from life-saving vaccines. I am the Canada Research Chair in Infectious Disease Prevention (Tier 2) and Associate Director of Clinical Research at the J.D. MacLean Centre for Tropical and Geographic Medicine.
