Research Focus

My research focuses on advancing personalized medicine in voice and upper airway dysfunctions through the development of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), regenerative materials and digital wearables. My team is developing Digital twins of upper airway, biomimetic organ-on-chips, injectable biomaterial for laryngeal tissue and muscle reconstruction and creating wearable e-health devices for voice and upper airway monitoring. My work is funded by a Canada Research Chair, the CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC and FRQS, and by NIH in the United States.
