Research Focus
My research focuses on the psychosocial, behavioral, and health system factors that shape the cancer experience across the disease trajectory. I am particularly interested in how patients, families, and care environments interact to influence quality of life, access to care, and health equity in oncology. As an embedded health system researcher, my work is grounded in clinical settings and aims to generate actionable evidence to improve patient-centered care.
I apply behavioral science and implementation science approaches to understand and address gaps between evidence and practice, with a focus on integrating supportive care interventions into routine oncology care. My research also examines health services delivery, including care coordination, patient experience, and the development and use of patient-reported outcomes and patient experience measures to inform care and system improvement. My broader research interests include psychosocial oncology, health behaviour change, the social determinants of health, and health equity.
