As part of the Institute's commitment to promoting a more equitable and inclusive workplace and research space, the People & Culture team is pleased to invite you to The Institute's Career and Opportunities Fair for People with Disabilities.
Whether you are part of research, administration, or the student body, with or without a disability (visible or invisible), this event is for made for you!
Why participate?
- To learn about wage subsidy opportunities and services offered through our partner organizations to recruit and retain people with disabilities.
- To discover and be inspired by the best practices implemented by some teams to better support their members with disabilities.
- To learn more about the tools available at the Institute to support our colleagues with disabilities.
Schedule:
From 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Booths from our teams, and partners (Atrium of the E block):
- Booths from The Institute's teams to present career opportunities in research and administration.
- Booths from our partner organizations to present the various programs and resources supporting our community: Aim croit, Moelle épinière et motricité Québec, the ROSEPH and Giant Steps and Horizon Travail.
- A booth from our partner organization, the MUHC, and its Accessibility Committee, presenting available jobs and support services.
From 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. – Discussion sessions (Cruess Auditorium):
- 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.: Services and resources available to recruit and accommodate persons with disabilities – Panel presented by our partner organizations.
- 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.: Advancing inclusion: Disability experiences at The Institute – Panel discussion between persons with disabilities and the teams who welcomed them at The Institute.
- 3:00 – 3:30 p.m.: Best practices and tools to foster inclusion of diverse abilities in your teams – Discussion presented by People & Culture.

Location: Glen site - Atrium (booths) and Cruess Auditorium (discussions) of the E Block.

Who can attend: Members of the research and administrative community, trainees, and external individuals with disabilities who are interested in a career at the Institute.
