An invitation from Dr. Rhian Touyz
It is my pleasure to present the 2024 Annual Report of the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC).
This year’s report highlights the remarkable strides we have made together—accomplishments that reflect the dedication and innovative spirit of our community. From groundbreaking discoveries to advancements in patient care, our collective efforts have continued to push the boundaries of science and medicine.
At the heart of our mission is the unwavering commitment to create clinical impact through interdisciplinary science. Our vision of advancing precision health throughout the life course echoes Hippocrates’ timeless insight: “Every human is distinct, and this affects both the disease prediction and the treatment.”
While we celebrate our successes, we also look ahead with excitement. Our newly launched 2030 Vision will guide us as we build on this strong foundation, helping shape the future of research and innovation at the RI-MUHC. As we move forward, we remain focused on nurturing our trainees and early-career scientists, fostering an inclusive and diverse research environment, and ensuring that sustainability is at the core of our practices. These pillars will help us continue making meaningful contributions to the global scientific community while enhancing patient care.
To our scientists, trainees, staff, supporters, and funding partners: thank you for your tireless commitment to multidisciplinary health research. Your work drives us forward, making a lasting impact on patients' lives, both here at home and around the world. Together, we will continue to push the boundaries of research and innovation, making a lasting impact on human health.
