Research Focus

My research focuses on the rigourous assessment through large international studies of new therapies to treat type 1 and type 2 diabetes. This may involve new medications before they come to market, new strategies on how to use current therapies or the assessment of how well we are doing in using our current tools. I also have a special interest on the impact of renal disease on our therapies, on adherence to medications and on the prevention and treatment of hypoglycemia.
