null Public Webinars - MISI Summer School: Bridging Science and Inclusion
Description:
From August 26 to 28, The Institute’s EDI and DCAT teams invite you to a series of virtual conferences on inclusive research practices and ethical engagement with Indigenous communities. This series is part of Summer School: Bridging Science and Inclusion of the Integral Mentorship for Inclusive Science (Mentorat intégral pour la science inclusive, MISI) project. MISI aims to increase the participation and success of women and Indigenous students in health research training.
This series, that organizers open freely to the Institute’s community, will offer opportunities to better understand what inclusive leadership is and how to apply it to research teams; how to conduct intersectional and sex and gender-based research; how to forge ethical partnerships with Indigenous communities; and how to create culturally safe spaces in research. The dialogues will be nurtured by the experience of academics, community, and engaged leaders.
