Dr. Julia V Burnier, a newly recruited researcher at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) and Assistant Professor in the Departments of Oncology and Pathology at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine, was recently awarded a CIHR-OICR award to participate in the Canadian Cancer Research Conference (CCRC) as well as in the related Early Career Investigator meeting, funded by the CIHR, OICR and Prostate Canada. “It was an eye-opening experience to hear patients and advocates speak about what research means to them,” says Dr. Burnier. “Science is their hope, whether for their own disease or for the future generation of patients.” Read more.
