Funding from the TD Bank Group will allow pediatrician and RI-MUHC researcher Dr. Patricia Li (left) and her team at The Montreal Children’s Hospital Multicultural Clinic and the Compass Clinic at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto to help teen migrants arriving with chronic health problems. With the $500K funding from TD, in collaboration with Canada’s Children’s Hospital Foundations, the team will launch a two-year pilot project called the Migrant Teen Navigator Program and conduct research to assess the program, providing evidence for clinical practice guidelines for wider implementation.
