null From Axes to Programs

Our new research facilities are built around a new organizational structure based on research programs. Programs are dynamic groupings of at least 15 researchers, brought together to facilitate interdisciplinary research, training and public outreach among fundamental, health outcomes, and clinician scientists. Migration from an axes-based structure towards a program structure was one the main goals of the RI-MUHC's 2009 Research Strategic Plan.

Programs are distributed between the Glen and Montreal General Hospital sites, complementing clinical activities at each of these locations.

The following research programs are located at the Glen site:

  • Experimental Therapeutics and Metabolism
  • Infectious Diseases and Immunity in Global Health
  • Child Health and Human Development
  • Translational Research in Respiratory Diseases
  • Cancer Research

Programs located at the Montreal General Hospital site:

  • Brain Repair and Integrative Neuroscience
  • Cardiovascular Health Across the Lifespan
