null Programs and Adjacencies
After many years of planning and consultation, the Research Institute of the MUHC adopted a new Research Strategic Plan, based on a program approach, promoting the integration of clinical and evaluative with fundamental research groups. This strategy allows for a better alignment with the MUHC redevelopment at the Glen and the downtown Montreal General Hospital campus The proposed programs have been distributed in accordance with the clinical activities at the respective host campus. The programs are still under development.
The programs and the entire research community will have access to core and platforms. These units are also undergoing review, in a similar process as the programs. On both campuses the proximity between clinical and basic researchers will provide intellectual synergy and technological support for translation of findings from fundamental and pre-clinical studies to population health and back.
