null The New Research Institute

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) aims to facilitate, coordinate, and conduct clinical, evaluative and fundamental research establishing the MUHC as a world-class centre of excellence in patient-centric medicine. In support of this goal, the RI-MUHC adopted a strategic plan that provides a new program-based framework for the decisions that will guide its future research activities.

To implement its strategic vision, the RI-MUHC secured funding from its public and private partners to build and equip a new, state-of-the-art research centre at the Glen site of the new MUHC in 2015. Construction of these facilities is now completed. In addition, the laboratories and clinical research units at the Montreal General Hospital are being redesigned and renovated. Together, these new facilities provide an environment that fosters collaborative translational research.
