Teams from The Institute received $15.4 million in project funding

Researchers at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (The Institute) will embark on 14 new projects designed to accelerate discoveries of benefit to human health, thanks to the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Fall 2025 Project Grants Competition. The Institute teams received $15.4 million in project funding.
Across Canada, this competition approved 421 research grants for a total investment of approximately $413 million. In addition, 83 priority announcement grants were funded for a total amount of more than $9 million and 17 supplemental prizes were awarded for a total of $450K.
The CIHR Project Grant program is designed to capture ideas with the greatest potential to advance health-related fundamental or applied knowledge, health research, health care, health systems, and/or health outcomes.
