Source: RI-MUHC. The third Quebec-wide conference on maternal and child healthcare, the Congrès provincial de la recherche mère-enfant, took place at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) on May 16 and 17. Around 175 researchers, research trainees, laboratory personnel and clinical research nurses from the four major pediatric research centres in Quebec took part in a two-day exchange of expertise and advances underway in these fields.
“The conference was a resounding success,” said Dr. Indra Gupta, Interim Deputy Executive Director and Deputy Chief Scientific Officer of the RI-MUHC, who is also the Director of Child Health Research at the MUHC. “It has launched a number of promising collaborations among the four centres.” Participating centres were the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec (CHUQ), Centre de recherche du CHU Sainte-Justine, Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke and RI-MUHC.
The event was organized thanks to a key partnership with the Foundation of Stars, which awarded four prizes of excellence to research trainees. Congratulations to winners in the following categories!
