CTB Technology Platforms

Accelerate your research!

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) has eight core facilities known as the Centre for Translational Biology (CTB) Technology Platforms. Each platform is managed by dedicated experts who will help you design, conduct and analyze the results of your experiments for your research project to be a success.

Their mission is to accelerate scientific research in the life sciences and to help researchers understand, treat and cure diseases by providing

  • access to state-of-the-art technologies and instrumentation;
  • top-level scientific expertise and training.

The platforms were established to support multidisciplinary discovery and innovation, making world-class research accessible to the research community at—and beyond—the RI-MUHC. They serve over 500 users and provide over 700 hours of training per year.

Testimonials

“The RI-MUHC Proteomics Platform provided extraordinary assistance in carrying out our research project and in conducting our clinical study. The team … did an exceptional job of research, experimental validation and methodological support in connection with the development of an LC-MS method for a very difficult/labile molecule. We sincerely thank them for all the work accomplished. We highly recommend their services.”

— Marie-Claude Battista, PhD, Centre de recherche du Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke

“Biospective has been working closely with the team at the RI-MUHC SAIL Platform for over three years. The platform and the extensive range of equipment available make a significant contribution to both our research as well as our corporate objectives. We continue to have a productive and fruitful collaboration, and we sincerely appreciate the professionalism shown by the staff, and the fact that they are always available to help us push forward our projects."
