Source: MedE-News. Earlier this week the Canadian Glycomics Network (GlycoNet) awarded $1.45 million in grants to support eight research projects, including $210,503 towards a collaborative project between McGill University’s Dr. Don Sheppard and The Hospital for Sick Children titled “Development of PslG as an Anti-biofilm Therapeutic for Pseudomonas aeruginosa Infections.” Whether at the data gathering stage, in clinical trial or ready for market, these innovative projects share a common goal: improving the health of people from coast to coast, while generating positive economic outcomes.
Dr. Sheppard is a scientist in the Infectious Diseases and Immunity in Global Health Program at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre.
